I built the mapping data behind Woodlands Trail Guide myself, which meant actually counting what's out there instead of guessing. A few of the numbers surprised me.

206.6 miles of pathway — tracked, mapped, walkable. For reference, that's roughly the driving distance from here to San Antonio. All of it inside one township.

789 benches. Not an estimate — an actual count, pulled straight from the township's own GIS data. Somewhere in The Woodlands right now, there's a bench within a few hundred feet of you.

128 BBQ grills, scattered across parks most people walk past without noticing. Free, public, and mostly empty on a random Tuesday.

432 individually named pathways and streets, spanning 10 villages, all connected into one walkable network — not a handful of disconnected neighborhood loops.

The single longest continuous segment I found: the Spring Creek Nature Trail, just over 4 miles end to end without a break.

None of this was obvious to me until I actually mapped it. If you want to see where any of it is — the benches, the grills, the 4-mile stretch, all of it — that's what the Trail Guide app is for.
